Called to get quote for chain repair in order to compare prices and was called cheap by the repair person. When I said I used to work for a jeweler repairing chains and had a set price list for all repairs he said I should go out and buy my own equipment and do it myself.

Had the signet centerpiece come loose from my college ring. Brought the ring and centerpiece in the be reattached. A week later, I find out that they lost the centerpiece, but would replace. When I pick up the ring, I get a bill for $200. The bill included attaching a small square centerpiece oddly placed within the spot where the oval shaped signet they lost should have went, and cleaning. Worn the ring for 25 years..... Will never use them again...
