Auto City Towing

Worst experience I've ever had with a business. These people have clearly made a practice of taking advantage of people who have no other options and the prices they charge are highway robbery. My car caught fire and was totaled. It was on the side of the road so it needed to be towed as soon as possible and I let the officer call the nearest recker. I called the day after the car was towed to explain that it was my only vehicle and if the office closed at 4:30, the best I could do was have my dad stop by after work to sell them the car. I was told that was fine, no mention of issues or extra fees. We purchased a copy of the title and I signed a power of attorney form so he could take it to them the following day. When he got there however, not only did I find out the first guy had lied and I had to be present to sell the car, but also that they were going to charge me 680$ of towing and storage fees. Beyond that they were only going to give 50$ for the car which means I'm down a car and 630$. I told the lady at the desk that I don't have that kind of money but she didn't care. Finally, after I borrowed the money and tried to pay, she told me they only take cash. Seems super sketchy and I don't know why I wasn't told that before hand. Moral of the story... don't trust 'em. You have 6 hours to pick up your car before they start with 100 s of dollars of fees .bring cash.... office lady....does not give all I formation ..they take advantage of people's who have been in car accident...I ask to speak to the owner and he doesn't speak to customer Service: Car towing

They put a lien on my driver's license. So when I went to get a new tag for a new car. I had to pay off my lien. You have to pay the total of the lien of the tow of my old car.
