1.0 star rating 8/19/2017 The neighborhood seems fine. The house is nice. The host is a kind older gentleman. The people who seemed to be family and friends of the gentleman were friendly. Here's where the disappointment began; The room is nice, but lacking detail and charm. It is a bit sparce. There is no TV. There is no hair dryer. There is no soap. There is no bath mat. The shampoo and conditioner were 2/3 used and we found them in a drawer. The air conditioning is set to a solid 78* with no individual control. It was very warm, especially if there are 2 sharing a bed. The visit was in August. It did not make for a good night's sleep. While some of that could be forgiven, the part that just stuck in my craw was this; The website states "full breakfast is served if desired". When I called to inquire about the rate and book the room, I was quoted one price and I stated I would like the full breakfast. When we arrived, the host asked if we'd like a continental breakfast of coffee and something like a muffin or a full breakfast, indicating the continental rate would be $10 less than the room rate originally quoted to me. I stated with enthusiasm that we were happy to pay the original rate and enjoy a full breakfast. The next morning we received tepid temperature coffee, 2 spoonfuls of yogurt with two cherries, a cold plate with 6 cherried, 1/4 banana, 2 orange segments, 4 thin slices of apple, 2 small thin slices of unripened star fruit, and a halved hard boiled egg inwhich the white part was quite hard much like it had been cooked and stored peeled for some time. I could not shake the feeling of being bamboozled. I include the defiition of a full breakfast; "A full breakfast is a breakfast meal that typically includes bacon, sausages, eggs, other cooked foods and a beverage such as coffee or tea."- source- wikipedia. At least an assortment of food and some of it should be hot. cold eggs....not. I paid the full rate but did receive the services promised. I wrote this review so others could be warned. I regret that I did not stay at a hotel for the same price. His prices are not competitive. This b and b is much more expensive than the hotels nearby that provide free full breakfast. Sadly, I highly reccommend skipping this B and B.
