"Whose opinion matters; mine or yours". (KB Warranty Specialist: "Mine"). This was the exact question I asked my warranty specialist this morning, and I was shocked at the answer I received. I regret having to leave a bad review, because I've left awesome reviews for my KB Home Warranty department. I had a great experience with Issabeau, who originally replaced the tree in my backyard that never took off and remained yellow. Unfortunately, after a year later I felt confident to report the same issue and I've learned that I'll have to deal with the matter myself. The main reason why I felt confident to report the issue after a year, was because Issabeau let me know that the matter could be resolved if the tree continued not to prosper since the issue was reported prior to the warranty being void. Further, I'm beginning to suspect that I had the red carpet rolled out for me in the beginning because KB Homes asks you to fill out a survey 11 months after you purchase your home. (In which, I filled out the survey with honest and high remarks that go beyond the tree issue). In addition, no one came to my home when I first reported/sent the pictures of the tree issue. Perhaps they could have come and cut open the branches then to show me that the tree was in good shape; instead, they made me feel like my opinion mattered since the tree is visibly not showing any signs of being prosperous. Today, I had Carlos (who was very nice and had a cheerful attitude), come to my home to look at the tree. He cut open two of the tree branches to prove how the tree was not dead, and told me a story of his avocado tree being dormant after 3 years when he moved it to another spot in his yard. My frustration is simple; I was told by a notable and trusted company that my issue would be resolved if it persisted since I reported the issue immediately (within the warranty period). My experience today proved that I should not have confidence in the same company that I once felt good about. What's sad is that I'm wasting apart of my morning on a stupid tree review that relates to bad customer service. So, I say all of this to say, thank God I did not have a serious issue because I could not count on them to keep their word to resolving it. Anyway, I know my opinion doesn't matter, but here are my two tree's. I have one beautiful green tree that has made so much progress since I've moved in, and one tree that has showed no progress. I thought the tree was dying, but Carlos has proven through cutting the tree branches that my tree is exactly where it needs to be. According to the irrigation specialist that inspected the tree, it's not prospering because of the bleeder value that was substituted for the drip line. My progressing tree has the drip line installed. I really don't care which one of them is right; I just want them to uphold their promise.
