    Received one of the there 8 gallon fuel cells from Jegs and there mold process was horrible the cell is cracked on the top folds front and back don't understand how they think that's safe to ship to a customer that's going to fill it with fuel and run that in a race car very disappointed

    I've been using RJS hardnesses for years. But after this I'm completely done. Maybe they've slipped in quality or maybe I just got unlucky, but regardless it's absolutely unacceptable for a company that specializes in SAFETY equipment. Here's the story: I purchased a replacement set of 3" latch/link harnesses for driver/passenger after my old set expired. After some driving I found that the webbing on my buckle would slip loose after about 10 minutes. I understand this is somewhat normal for harnesses, but I decided to inspect it under load so I thrusted my hips upward to see if it's a vibration concern or loading concern and turns out under loading the harness will continue slipping until my lack of flexibility stops me, unacceptable. I replaced with an old lap buckle, and my passenger lap buckle, and found that it is in fact an issue with the lap buckle since my problem went away, so I contacted RJS for a solution. They told me to ship it back (at my cost) and they would send me a replacement. 3 weeks go by and still nothing, I call them and they said they already shipped out a replacement. Another 2 weeks go by and still nothing, so I call them again and they say it must have gotten lost in the mail, so they sent out another replacement. Another two weeks later I get a replacement in, and they sent me the completely wrong lap buckle. Call them back, they told me they are going to send another. Call back a week later and they say that they sent it out already. Two weeks later and nothing, I call them and they said that they NEVER SENT OUT THE REPLACEMENT. Wait another two weeks and I finally get a replacement.... and here's where it gets really bad.... I marked the broken lap buckle with an "x" in sharpie so that I don't mix it in with my usable harnesses, and sent it out with the "x" on it, the "replacement" they gave me had an extremely faded out "x" in the same spot. They tried to acetone off the sharpie mark and pass it off as a replacement to me, even after knowing that it fails under load. Are you kidding me?!? Anyways, after another three weeks of talking to Steve and constantly having to check up on him after consistently forgetting to call me back and mail me a replacement, I've finally gotten a replacement. For a company that specializes in critical safety components, at the very most you are allowed to have defects in products, or poor customer service... but not both.
