Kan-Ki Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

I placed my name on the wait list and was told it would be an hour and a half wait. (after I attempted to leave a reservation and was unsuccessful) Me and my party waited the length of the wait time and called because we had not heard. I was told that it was still going to be another hour and half wait because they had other reservations just come in. We asked if we would be sat at all tonight and she put me on hold. She then came back and said that her manager told her that they are cancelling all walk-in reservations and that we will not be sat at all tonight.

We have gone here a few times in the past and this time the food was subpar. The waitress was stretched very thin and we had to wait a good while for service. Also no grills available for my 7 year old to watch his food be cooked.

Birthday meal free! Not really. the waitress told us the sushi is not including in free meal, have to order the entry. So we order 1 dinner and some sushi but when the bill comes there is no discount at all. Then the waitress told us have to order another dinner in order get birthday meal free . What?! Why you didnt tell us at front! And also took 20 mins to order the food, but the food came out pretty fast then the waitress took back quickly and said loudly its not yours 2 mins later she took the same meal back to me and Said the meal comes out too fast. What a crazy place! And wrong place to celebrate my birthday for sure. Regret!

Great food and atmosphere. The staff was very nice, humorous, and personal despite it being busy and understaffed. The food was delicious and cooked to the quality you expect from a location such as Kan-ki.
