It was OK, not great. They had no baked potatoes, gator tail, or steaks. The service was not great. It's an interesting place with a great atmosphere--but food/service is lacking.

Lets start with the good, our waitress was Peggy and she was AMAZING. She could not have been nicer, she could not of been more efficient and she saved our dinner from being a disaster. Hats off to you Peggy. Now the bad. This restaurant used to be one of the most popular restaurants in Jacksonville. It had a cool vibe, fun atmosphere, waterfront dining and a really cool menu. I say had, because it is just not the same place anymore and we witnesses the staff doing everything they could to be helpful, but something is clearly amiss. So if you still want to give it a try, here is a run down on the food: Drinks - tea, coke products, beer - all good. Caesar Salad - sadly I had to pick thru and throw out bad pieces of lettuce, but the flavor was good. Side Salad - same as Caesar, but maybe a little fresher. Gator Tail Appetizer - BEST DISH of the night, by far. Loaded Baked Potato - passable, came 1/2 way through my meal. Macn Cheese - this dish came out COLD plus it had a strange texture. 1/2 Lb Cheese Burger - this was inedible, it was awful. 1/2 Lb Burger - my daughter said it was good. Scallops - my wife raved about the flavor Gator Tail Dinner Basket - clearly the way to go here, it was just as good as the appetizer. Stuffed Flounder - parts of it were burnt and so hard I could not cut them with a fork, not all of it, but two parts. I was really confused, but it was really unpleasant. Talapia - strange texture and taste. Not good one either. NOTE - most sides did not come out on time and were delivered well into the meal. It was really just an unpleasant evening. But one of those stories you will tell at family get togethers for years to come. It will also be the answer to the family trivia, worst dining experience ever, which is a shame because our server Peggy was so sweet. I should point out that we were not the only ones disappointed. Three of the tables around us had either complaints or words with the manager and all demanded discounts or items taken off their bill. It was uncomfortable hearing all the complaints. I think I heard they are having a hard time keeping cooks in the kitchen, which is typical of post pandemic restaurants. If you are on a budget - I suggest going with one of the baskets with the safest bet being the Gator tail. If you want to splurge - try one of the exotic meats like ostrich. I hope they take time to retool and it gets back to being the fun place we remember.

Drove there from Port Orange late Sat Afternoon 9/17 22 Ticket C51-1Main Dinning Table 16 Server was so preoccupied with other Large party we were totaly forgotten. We were sat at a dirty table carrying our 3 Margaritias from the bar. Server took out Large appitizer order , half hour later brought Conch Fritters & Calamari with no Sharing Plates. We ordered 3 more Margarittas & 3 Waters and asked about our Oysters. 15 minutes went by before we received our oysters , had to ask again for drinks & water. Again no sharing plates. Food runner brought our Fish Camp Platter with Mac & Cheese & Fried Fish Basket. NO WATER OR DRINKS YET... Fried Fish dinner was raw in the middle along with French Fries, Mac & Cheese ice cold , Expensive Platter over cooked...No sharing plates again. Server finally brought water (apologized) said bar was backed up on our drinks . Fish basket was sent back. Why would I want another ???? Drinks finally arrived in 3 different size glasses but all cost the same ???? We were ready to Go at this point. So we drove 4 hours total there & back for terrible service ! I never got to EAT .... Server was just to busy to care about us...He took fish basket and 1 drink off the bill !!! I PAID $84.93 and $25 at the bar for the WORST Dinner expierence ever.....
