Ibex Ethiopian Kitchen

I love their food! My friend and I visited and enjoyed our meal very much. Service was great and the prices are even better. I will definitely return :)

Great authentic food. Friendly servers. The chef's special for two was a great deal. Huge amounts of tasty even for two people. A good variety of chicken, beef, lentils, collard greens and vegetables on spongy bread.

The food was amazing here! I’ve been to several Ethiopian restaurants in Miami and Orlando, and this Ethiopian restaurant in Jacksonville is the best I’ve ever been to! My wife and I had the meat combination platter with 3 meats and 3 vegan sides... AMAZING!!!!

I ordered 4 meals to go, and went to pick it up. When I arrived 30 minutes later, after ordering by phone, I spent the few minutes looking over the menu. The prices varied, but the dinner prices were between $12.95 - $14.95. When she rang up the 3 awaze tibs, and 1 kitfo, I was quoted $85.95. I said, "Come again." The lady said that the price of meat went up, so they had to raise their dinner prices. I showed her the prices in the menu, and she responded that the menus were the old ones and does not reflect the newer prices. In summary, the food was overpriced, too salty, and the quantity was meager for the price paid. Ibex Ethiopian Restaurant may have gotten $85.95 out of me, but that will be the last time I patron their establishment. I would not recommend this restaurant due to price gouging, poor quantity, and mediocre food quality. Eat somewhere else.
