I've usually gone to hairstylists for my haircuts, but I've had bad luck with maintaining short hair and decided to try a barbershop. I came into an empty shop with a photo of what I wanted, and the barber there said since it's a shear cut, I would have to come in the morning or the last of the day, which I thought was weird but I agreed to come in the next day, today, at 6 pm. He asked me to text the phone number on the sign board inside the shop, so I did, and didn't get an answer. I came in today at 6 and the shop was closed down and empty. Texted the number again, double and triple checked that it matched the photo of the board I took, and got no answer. I've been nervous about going into a barbershop since it's usually a boys club, and now I'm even MORE anxious about trying somewhere else. They might do great cuts on other people, but if they're not willing to work on you then, don't bother.
