The Fox Restaurant is a fun place to go hear good music and eat great food. The staff make you feel right at home and are always upbeat. Love bringing family and friends here.

My friend and I are natives of Jacksonville, FL. and The Fox Restaurant is an well known, historical landmark in our city that he decided to visit for breakfast this morning. The treatment and service that he received today was "horrible." As he walked in, NO ONE greeted him. After standing and waiting for 3 minutes while making eye contact with several employees, he then walked over to the bar area and asked "Do you seat yourself?" The waitress then in turn asked him was he alone, he answered "yes," she then asked him will he sit at the bar because the restaurant tends to fill up fast.. when there were clearly 3 booths available... one even being directly in front of him (and he actually preferred a booth) but attempting to "be a team player," he agreed to sit at the bar. The waitress then asked, "What are you drinking?" he replied, "Just a cup of coffee." Not even two minutes later, 3 more parties walked in.. one being a couple. Those parties were greeted IMMEDIATELY and told to sit wherever they'd like. He says he was literally SPEECHLESS at the difference in service they were receiving versus how he was greeted and the service he'd received up until that point. One of those parties were even offered a "courtesy cup of coffee" while she waited for her TO GO order! At this point, he felt so uncomfortable and flabbergasted he completely lost his appetite and decided to just leave. He then called the waitress over to pay for his coffee and she didn't even ask was there a problem and didn't seem to care that he was leaving... almost as if "they" wanted him to leave. Oh yea... DID I MENTION THAT HE WAS THE ONLY BLACK MALE IN THE RESTARAUNT AT THAT TIME?? He says he clearly saw that The Fox Restaurant has good service... just NOT for "my kind."
