I fish Saltwater for Snook in Southwest Florida, mostly at night. Casting a Charlie’s Super Zipper Dipper across a lighted area and retrieving it through has resulted in my doubling the number of fish (big fish) I’ve caught in the last year. It’s such a lifelike, foolproof actioned lure that when I take novices with me even they can’t help but tie into trophy fish if they succeed in landing their cast in the strike zone.
As effective as the direct retrieve is, another is to cast into (or at the edge of) a lighted area and just allow the jig to fall to the bottom. The power of the strikes while falling can be terrifying!
By the end of last Spring I was buying out the stock of Super Zippers at my local WalMart. When I returned this Fall they no longer stock it. C’mon WalMart! Do you really want me to shift my fishing shopping (and other shopping) to Amazon where I can easily find Zipper Dippers?!?!?!
