Sawamura started putting eggs in the rice - HATE IT. Until they go back to making the rice the way they used to be we won't be back.

Since the remodel is complete the place looks nice but the food is no longer Japanese due to them using too many spices which are not Japanese. Only taste of food is the spice, not the flavor of the food itself. Even the soup was like something from the middle east. So sorry they have taken a good and successful restaurant and changed it to be something other than Japanese. Keep the spices at Chopstix and bring back the true Japanese. I have been eating here for 24 years and won't come back again due to the changes.

Go to Miraku instead. No, seriously, don't come here. Food was bland. I paid $30 for 6 pieces of overcooked shrimp, 6 scallops that I hope were cooked enough, and dry steak. The rice was bland and they charge $1 for extra sauce. We're normal people just like you who want good food. Instead we got bland overpriced food. My fiance didn't even finish hers. Instead of understanding that we politely said it wasn't very good to us, they made small talk. We're moving across town tomorrow ... I come back home to pack and my body literally feels like something is wrong with it. I was feeling great before eating here, now I think I'm a bit sick from what we ate. Turn around, go to Miraku instead. You'll thank me later.
