        We had overall a good experience at this hospital. The vast majority of RNs, medical staff, food service, and transport staff were great. The problem arose for us when Case Mgt and Discharge went awry. We were sent home with an issue (pressure sore) and no way to resolve. My husband has been suffering and is unable to recover from the underlying serious (open heart) condition properly. We should have been provided proper instructions and materials, or a list thereof, for recovery and some sort of care and concern. We got nothing except "we are understaffed". Yes, my husband's life was saved with surgery and care in the CVU, but care needed after is non-existant. Proceed with caution.

        Gross negligence. I wrote a full detailed review but its too long for posting so I will sum it up that this hospital most likely killed my mother but Ill never be able to prove it. She was supposedly in hospice care there but they never turned her over once in 3 days, never gave her oxygen to regulate her breathing and let her lay in her own feces for hours. When they did finally change her they didnt give her meds and caused great pain and then left the soiled linens in the room. We had to hunt down nurses for help constantly and were often made to feel stupid for concerns. There was old blood and urine in the bathroom too from a previous patient. DO NOT leave your loved ones alone here at North Florida Regional! I will be posting my full detailed review on other sites that will allow more characters.
