Florida Marine Diesel

I do not know how anyone could make a negative comments, for this marine diesel dealer and machine shop. The owner is a hands on mechanic and machinist and Yanmar oracle. He has good parts stock, and will do anything possible to order parts, and immediatly, making calls, etc. on your behalf. Also he discusses and shares any applicable technical details, and methods for the work you are doing. Take notes, as he knows diesel and machine work backwards to forwards.

Interesting place. Sort of a marine junkyard with a parts "store" in the corner. However, he's an official Yanmar dealer and he had the parts we needed in stock. I think it's cash only. Not sure what other services he provides. Edit: losing a couple stars because one of the two parts we bought was the wrong one.

Unprofessional and unresponsive. Seems like a nice guy who knows some things about marine engines. Unfortunately it is not worth your time to try to get anything from his shop. He couldn't find parts for over half an hour although he said they were in a box somewhere, which isn't surprising because the shop is very disorganized. Not wanting to wait all day, we left a detailed order with yanmar part numbers and a phone number. He said he would have the parts in a couple of days. We waited 2 weeks and he didn't find or order parts, and didn't call. We called him after a week and were suprised to hear he hadn't done anything, asked again that he order the parts. Came in person another week later and still nothing. Avoid this business if you value your time.
