    Our mold remediation journey began in February 2024. A mold hygienist company that was recommended by iMold for preliminary and independent testing, confirmed that mold was present in our home through laboratory testing and an extensive in-home investigation. I contacted iMold again following the testing results and had Ronnie (iMolds representative) schedule an appointment. Using the report obtained by the mold hygienist company, he went through each page, identifying the issues in our home and explained the plan going forward. Ronnie was persistent to gain our business, which should have been a red flag on my part, but the online reviews were positive and we proceeded with the contract. Before remediation could begin, the roofing company would need to repair the leaks and I conveyed this to iMold. My credit card was charged unexpectedly for half of the total before a tentative start date was set - the roof was still not fixed! Because of delays in the roof repair, it took several more weeks to begin the job. The mold remediation began on Friday, March 22. The job was estimated to take 9 working days, when it was initially scheduled. Two rooms in our home were particularly impacted by water infiltration, due to roof leaks. Two employees arrived mid-morning on the first day. Containment and on site planning occurred the majority of the day. The site manager, Tommy, also did a walk through to familiarize himself with the suspect areas. The following week, only one technician was present for the first two days and explained that staffing issues were to blame. On Wednesday morning, following an email to Tommy, describing my concerns of only one technician, three were sent. I feel like my patience has come to an end. On Friday morning (3/29), around 9:45 am, I sent an email to Debbie about a proposed additional charge for work above the scope of our initial contract. I quoted the reported findings from the mold hygienists(independent company), as well as the walk through that was done by Ronnie. There was no response, either verbal or through email, until Monday(4/1), after the technician was unable to proceed with further work until an additional contract was signed and the cost paid. I received a call from Ronnie, indicating he was sorry that he missed the issue and didnt include it within the scope of his work. I was in disbelief. I confirmed with Debbie that because of his error, we were still responsible to pay. Unfortunately, this was not the only omission from the scope of work. At this point, Im unsure how long this project will take, nor will I know if something else has been missed. I dont fault the techs on site, they seem knowledgeable and are hard working, but I feel like the initial plan contained errors and communication with the office is sub par, at best. Perhaps others have had better outcomes and we are just the unfortunate exception, but Im dissatisfied and would not recommend this company to others.

    My experience with IMOLD was 5 star, Hailey Goulas the estimator came out to my retail space that is filled with mold and gave me an estimate to get rid of the mold. She was knowledgeable and explained everything. She has followed up with the quote for getting rid of the mold, unfortunately it is up to the landlord to give the go ahead, still waiting. But hopeful IMOLD will be the company taking care of this problem. Thank you.

Hi Erin, your credit card information was given by you to our General Manager when you decided to move forward with the work that Ronnie proposed. We never received a request to not run your credit card for the deposit. There was only a question whether or not you were going to switch to insurance on the backend. We didn’t have staffing issues (our company has 53 employees). Unfortunately, the flu affected half of our staff as it did most workplaces and schools. We have a zero tolerance policy and we do not want to infect the rest of the team or our customers so the technicians are required to stay home when they’re sick with a fever. We did our best to accommodate and pulled technicians from other jobs to complete your remediation. There tends to be additional work needed when it comes to mold remediation, once the work is started, and walls are opened up. Our general manager will be in touch to ensure you are satisfied with the rest of your project.
