We had our roof replaced by DR Martineau Roofing several weeks ago. They were timely (from initial phone call to the dates of construction), they communicated with us on a daily basis and the team of employees they had was responsive, respectful and worked well together. The owner of the company called us directly and showed up to check on the work as it was being completed. I never saw a crew of harder workers or a more professional roofing group. Their professionalism, customer service and of course, the actual roof are A+. We started out with another roofer (I can't name names) and they were the complete opposite of DR Martineau.

We got a roof done by DRM in 2017 after hurricane Irma. A while later we started noticing water pool on the floor in one of the bedrooms after heavy rain. At the time we had no idea what was causing this, and we didn't pay the problem the attention it deserved because my mom who got the roof done was suffering from cancer and also has brain damage from chemotherapy and brain tumors. Several years later it continued like this, unbeknownst to me who was living away from home at the time. Eventually it became such an issue that my little brother who was living in the room who has asthma would have asthma attacks from mold. So we got the moldy floor removed, and my brother is sleeping in the living room now. Then we laid concrete outside because we thought water was seeping in from below the foundation. After it has continued to leak, we realized it must be an issue with the roofing somewhere. I called them and they told me there is no warranty since hurricane ian has happened after we got the roof it has invalidated the warranty. I told them the problem has been happening since we first got the roof, and they say they have no record of that. Of course they don't because we didn't know the indoor leak was from a problem with the roof until eliminating other possibilities. But for them they do not care as long as they are legally off the hook for it they are happy, even though I now know it was a workmanship problem since the beginning. So please do not give this kind of company your business, they have no care behind their work and they are looking for a way out of being held responsible, when a good company would take responsibility for their faulty workmanship. And I wouldn't trust them to even do good work after this situation, regardless of their position on warranties.

After hurricane Ian I had some minor cement siding damage. Its hard enough to find companies that do concrete siding repair, but the first response I got from other companies is that we will not come out for less than 5K. I did not have that much siding damage. I contacted D.R. Martineau, they came out right away with no minimum disclaimer, and did not charge for the estimate. I also had some ridge cap damage on the roof and some gutter damage. They stayed in touch. When they came out, they were able to complete all the work in one day. The whole crew was great, they all talked to me about what was happening, and did the work with care. I hope I never need them again, but if I do, they will be the first I contact. I found them on the BBB site. Prior to contacting D.R. Martineau, I first contacted a roofing and gutter company owned by someone I personally knew and played volleyball with. One of his guys came out and did a drone fly over for me and also for my neighbor. I couldnt ever get that guy to contact me again. Any attempts to even get an estimate failed. They had done great work for me in the past. I gave up. I mention this, because this is how hard it was to get work done after the hurricane. Part of the dilemma was my refusal to work with anyone not local. Im glad I stuck to my guns on this. I know people who used out of town companies that did half jobs and left.

******AVOID*******STAY AWAY******* We have been waiting over 7 months for our roof. Still waiting. Communication is poor. We are continually being strug along and cannot get any answers. Today 6/19, we tried to contact our sales rep to tell him we want to switch to a shingle roof instead of waiting for our metal to perhaps someday show up. I called the office and now I am getting the run around. The office lady said I have to talk to the salesman that doesn't return our calls. When I told the office lady we will file a complaint with the BBB, she referred me to the contract which states that they are not responsible for supply shortages. However, the salesman admitted that he was aware of supply chain issues BEFORE the hurricane and still took our money, knowing that it will not be the 6-7 weeks. Now it's been over 7 months. FALSE PROMISES AND FALSE ADVERTISING. Their TV ad says they will exceed our expectations, instead they have extremely disappointed. UPDATE: Shortly after posting this, we got a text, not a call, from the sales rep saying that now suddenly, our order is being shipped "with a bunch of other orders, and ours SHOULD be within one of those orders" we shall see, I am not holding my breath. Will post updates as we go along. UPDATE: Dry in failed first inspection. They did not have enough or the correct spacing in the drip edge so the city failed the inspection. Crew came today to add more screws. This does not give me much confidence that they are competent since they cannot even get the drip edge right. Now, here we are waiting for yet another inspection in the middle of rainy and hurricane season waiting for our roof while their incompetence continues to delay our installation.
