I barely go across the bridge for any reason, maybe once a year. I pay the toll online with bank records as proof. Last time I crossed (Jan 3rd, 2024) I went online the next morning to pay and seen that last payment (2023) wasn't deducted and paid it again not to deal with them placing me on hold forever and never taking my call due to high call volume. Now, I received a bill for the toll that I already paid plus one extra. My bank records show my (DOUBLE) payment (Jan 4th, 2024) but Lee Way's system is 3 months behind me... Back to High call volume, I wonder why?!?! Something isn't right at Lee Way and we need to go back to Toll Booths and requested receipts.

A long line that did not move for ten minutes. I barely got in the door because the line was almost out the door. I just left. Do yourself a favor: Pay your tolls by phone!

Last December I sussed out the whole bridge and/or toll situation for a winter vacation in Cape Coral. Found the website, came across the FREE transponder option and figured that it was the way to go, possibly even using up the Fee top-up of $30. Ordered one for delivery by mail to the Cape Coral address so it would be there upon arrival a week later. (early January) Part of this process included a couple of calls to the phone agents and they were super helpful. Arrived to the location and after a couple of weeks no letter in the mailbox. Rang up the call centre and once again spoke to a very congenial lady who passed along further information including, "no worries, drive across, we'll match your plate photo to your account and bill the $2." Six weeks later still no transponder, (this I blame on the USPS who probably mis-delivered the letter to a Hurricane Ian abandoned house down the street) but now a letter from LeeWay "complaining" about all the photo matches assuming the transponder was not working and invited me over to the Centre to get a replacement. Drove over to the Centre and in quick order another lovely lady issued a new sticker and updated my account. Took it home and attached to the windscreen as directed. They also provide a "manual" chock full of information and FAQ's. The best part that is beneficial to winter snowbirds is that if the account is open for more than 60 days, they will close it and refund any balance back to your payment credit card. Otherwise funds NEVER expire for future visits to the area. Overall, I found this whole concept to be well executed, the staff helpful, the fees are fair and anybody who thinks otherwise needs to get over themselves.
