Medical gaslighting is how I describe what this doctor has done to my precious little sister that went to him with a basketball sized stomach sent her to a gastroenterologist then babies are visualized in a MRI the GASTROENTEROLOGIST FREAKS OUT SENDS HER BACK TO THIS GOMEZ, HE GASLIGHTS HER WHICH MEANS IGNORES AND LAUGHS AT YOU AND WENT ON TO SABOTAGE HER MEDICAL RECORDS. OH BOY! HE HAS NO IDEA HE HAS PUT 3 LIVES AT RISK SHE HAS TWINS AND THIS MAN IS PLAYING GAMES. HE'S BEING REPORTED AND I GUARANTEE THE STATE BOARD OF MEDICINE IS GOING TO HEAR ABOUT THIS AND LICENSING AND HOSPITAL. This physician has a huge EGO he refuses to accept he delayed treatment and created a huge misdiagnosis, he has caused catastrophic damage in my life. I have triggered an investigation at Holy Cross Hospital with guest relations a Ms. Willow, I will also contact State of Florida and Board of Medicine and file complaints. He purposely sabotaged a patient's medical records to cover up his misdeeds. This I will not accept and will be sure to have looked at by the senior administration of Holy Cross Hospital even though Dr. Gomez believes he's the golden untouchable type. BEWARE. To all new patients this man only cares about himself.

Dr Gomez delivered my son in 2015 with emergency c section I had ruptured with double kidney failure . At TGH .... sad he moved far but surprisingly we r expecting again I tryed so hard to get in to c him but his staff is full of excuses and not getting papers I called for month in half trying to get in they keep delaying stalling never got bk with me . After going through the neck to get everything for them to see him . And than get told im too fa r along . That it be rare if he takes my case.... I was extremely upset at the girls if very hard to get in

My wife's gastroenterologist Dr. Mercado wrote a prescription for an abdominal MRI due to a large swollen stomach as this Dr. Gomez couldn't find the root cause he was her treating obgyn for a few months. Weeks later.. The MRI performed by Holy Cross Urgent Care rendered disturbing images that appeared to be a fetal skull and the silhouette of a 2nd full fetus. Once in possession of the CD and asking GASTRO Dr. Mercado about the possible fetal images his office refused to comment and said this is an Obgyn issue go back to Dr. Gomez. The appointment followed the next day at 3:45pm. Dr. Gomez in his office with my wife and I looked at the image and exclaimed he didn't know what it was nor what part of anatomy it was and became very rude after we requested a maternal fetal referral or a general surgeon referral as the picture could be a rare PRIMARY IMPLANT intrauterine ABDOMINAL PREGNANCY. Quickly Dr.Gomez said he hadn't ever heard of such a thing or condition and laughed it off. I went into some medical explanation about rare ectopic pregnancies less than 1% in fact as reported in Medical Journals and in obstetrics science books. He again refused. He Ended the meeting. Issued a different type of referral different from what the patient requested. Went outside Into hallway towards the group of ladies nearby also medical personnel laughing and pointing at the patient who thought she was pregnant. Visibly mocking. Moments later Gomez writes a report stating the image shown to him was a fake not authentic. Thereby marking permanent medical records with his lie. Sabotaging patient's credibility seeming retaliatory action. Acting as if in my opinion he couldnt be questioned or allow a patient to participate in their own treatment asking appropriate questions about images from their very own imaging center. Well after dozens of attempts to communicate with Dr. Gomez and Dr. Mercado go unanswered a meeting is scheduled with Guest Relations. Meeting included Dr. Lopez and Willow a guest relations specialist. After explaining the poor experiences with Dr. Gomez and Dr. Mercado we provide the Holy Cross MRI CD, Dr. Lopez is noticeably surprised to learn its from Rio Vista Urgent Care takes CD and states he will have it reviewed by an un-named radiologist about 5 minutes later he returns and states the fetal skull image is an internal "slice image of kidney" not a fetal skull. The silhouette picture isn't examined or mentioned. Meeting ends cordially shortly thereafter and told to follow up with a primary doctor. We and our grievances are told will call for a reprimand. Wife collected all medical records and imaging from the records dept. She since has filed a formal grievance with Ms. Willow and anticipates the investigation be completed within 30 days. Ms. Willow was very courteous and caring. Dr. Lopez was very sensitive and exhibited a very professional demeanor. Attached are the MRI images that required explanation and should have not required so much efforts by patient in my opinion. Its also very strange that a slice into a kidney look like a fetal skull, nose, and symmetric eyes all to scale and consistent with a fetus. But that is in fact the information that was told to us. Now we will have the imaging reviewed by an independent 3rd party for any discrepancies and follow the advice given by all Holy Cross doctors and administration for additional care elsewhere.
