AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach

Shame on you Marriott. I am appalled at how our situation was handled. We booked an "Ocean View" room. When we got to the room was not ocean view it had a view of a hotel in front if us completely under construction that was not disclosed when booked. we had to go out our balcony and turn left to see the ocean. We could not see the ocean from our room as advertised. When called to front desk, they basically said "sorry that is the ocean view room" when we stayed it didn't have a couch either like the photos and description they said not all do. To make it worse, when I contacted our credit card company to assist with a solution, they did confirm to our credit card company that they gave us a "partial ocean view room" not ocean view. They simply apologized and declined to change rooms as they said the hotel was booked. I will never be back to this hotel. Unfortunately, they lost a loyal customer and I am disputing my charge to see if maybe they will respond and acknowledge our complaint then. Especially since we paid extra for an ocean view room. When hey make a mistake they should fix it, that simple. **Update the hotel is not even responding to Capital One request!!

We paid for 3 rooms a month ago with an ocean view and an hour later they are still not ready because it says they had VIP guests who did not leave at 11 but at 4, more mistreatment?

There is a lot to like about this hotel as long as you don't look too closely. The rooms are large and clean (despite feeling pretty new, if you look closely you will see a lot of wear and tear) the location is excellent, and you get a 2 free beach chairs at the Ritz (be advised, it's still $30 for an umbrella). The salt water pool is nice (altho very small) with a great view. The pool bar is a little crazy with their prices and it seems like most of the bartenders have no idea how to make a drink. I'd stick to beer and wine. Also, do keep in mind in March you are going to have a whole lot of spring breakers and they do tend to take over the hotel. Also, there is a massive amount of construction right across the street. Looks like that won't be done until at least the end of 2024. It's LOUD. Overall, decent room rates, excellent location on the strip across the street from the beach/restaurants, and all the perks mostly outweigh the negatives.

Fantastic Spring break in Ft Lauderdale Location is great , rooms are just right and staff is friendly. Our server and then bartender Nicole was AMAZING , you can tell by her drinks she knows what she's doing. Food & drinks: Swing by the pool bar for fantastic drinks from Nicole
