Cafe Gianni

So we went to this place thinking it was magnolias, and the service sucked! The food was a 3 from 1 to 10... would not recommend 31 magnolia rest & bar!! To over rated food. Maybe should be just a drink joint!

Really delicious food. Our house salad of fresh crispy mixed greens and ripe tomatoes was tossed in a delicious vinaigrette which complimented the greens perfectly. The Pasta with Pomodoro Sauce was beautifully balanced, carefully seasoned, smooth as velvet, clinging to perfectly cooked pasta. We had a side of Sausage with the pasta that was mildly seasoned, light, tender with not a spec of greasiness. We finished our meal with a double layer cake, light, moist creamy cheesecake like filling and topped with a coulis of mixed berries laced with Balsamic Vinegar and Basil... .. not too sweet, perfectly balanced tartness against lucious creaminess... This is real food, cooked by a real artisan... . Cafe Gianni was a unexpected WOW experience, above and beyond my expectation for any Italian restaurant in the most metropolitan area of the United States... What a great find.

We were attending the Mt.Dora art festival and happened to find this little gem. The server was full of joy and smiles. We ordered and the Chef Gianni himself came out to greet us and made a wonderful dish from scratch for our 3 year old daughter. He even returned after to sit with us and entertain us all. What a great experience and we will drive from Windermere much more often. Thank you Chef Gianni
