The Lighthouse Restaurant

The experience was wonderful. Location has a bar and nice atmosphere. And the food, absolutely delicious. Yummy, fresh spinach and lobster. The fresh bread is delicious too hot out the oven. My kids love their entrees with fruit and my son loves the cheese sticks. Of course I am on the healthy side whereas my husband loves their prime rib. I take a little nibble though;). It's all good and soon I will have to go back again to satisfy my craving.

We stop in at the Lighthouse every time we are in town for fresh local seafood, because we prefer to avoid the overcrowded, tourist trap spots that are overtaking Destin. On our last visit(January 2014), we enjoyed the fried oysters, fresh catch of the day - grilled, broiled salmon w/dill sauce, and the chicken and shrimp combo. The new bar adds a new dimension to a Destin classic. The outdoor patio wasn't open in January, but looked like a great spot for casual dining.
