I requested an older person because I was post surgery for nasal reconstruction. I fought my doc on this but he insisted. Her job description was to cut up turkey for a week, rub my back and clean the litter box 2 times. She cut the turkey, lazily cleaned the litter box and rubbed my back for a total of 30 minutes. She said she was tired to rub it after every 10 minutes. I gave her pillows and blankets to sleep for the night because I was ready go to sleep 4 hours after she arrived. I couldnt wait to get rid of her at 7. Instead I should have handed the agency $340 I told the agency and they did not seem to care one bit!

During a difficult period in which my Grandma was staying at Delray Medical Center, we noticed that the nurses and doctors at the hospital were understaffed and was leading to additional pain and suffering. While we were visiting 2x-3x a day, we needed someone to be bedside with my Grandma at all times to ensure that she was getting the proper care that was needed from the hospital staff. We called Comfort Keepers and sensing the urgency of the situation, they were able to meet us at the hospital within a couple hours, and subsequently schedule companions within 12 hours of our initial call. Every companion from Comfort Keepers was incredible - they played my Grandma's favorite music, made sure she was getting prompt care from the nurses and doctors, and made a world of difference during a time when we felt helpless. While I hope we will never need their services again, I would recommend them to anyone facing a similar situation.

Comfort Keepers exceeded even our greatest expectations. At a time for our family that was truly heartbreaking, they managed to take care of our mom so thoughtfully and fully, it truly was a blessing for us and our mom. Our daytime aide, Colleen, was outstanding. She really bonded with our mom, took special care to notice what made her more comfortable, what music she liked, and was overall keenly aware of what my mom, and the whole family, needed. So thankful for all the good care.
