Everyone who works at Avalon was very polite and friendly, but the service is lacking. Based on the reviews I was really hopeful for this place. I booked an appointment, go in wait 30 min to be seen, and then find out the only thing they do that day is x-rays/exam and I have to return for the cleaning. I was pretty frustrated because I had to take off another day of work but I booked the next appointment. A few weeks later, COVID happened and I called about my appointment but couldn't get through. I called several times and left multiple messages, but didn't hear back and my appointment came and went without a response. A month goes by and I get a bill because they did a different type of xray than what my insurance covers during my initial appointment. Again I was frustrated, but I figured that was my fault for not fully understanding my benefits and called some more. Eventually I got through, booked the cleaning and gave my payment information over the phone but my card was not charged. I go in for my appointment, again wait for over 30 minutes, and then they tell me CDC guidelines changed due to COVID-19 so they can only do the plaque scraping. I already waited that long so I did it, paid my balance (after informing the office staff that I had a balance), and left. The doctor seemed knowledgeable enough and everyone was kind, but this setup was not good patient care. I really hope they do better in the future.

The best dentist in town, in fact the best office I have ever been to. The staff is super friendly, on time, and genuinely care about your oral health. They explain everything in detail, including billing, right up front. No up selling of procedures you don't need. The dentist is highly skilled and is extremely gentle. My teeth have never looked better. I've read the reviews of others on here and truly have no idea what they are talking about. As a business owner myself, I realize you can't please everyone. Look no further if you're in the market for a new dentist. I'd give 6 stars if google would let me.
