Melissa did my daughters smash cake pictures and they came out amazing. She is really talented and great at taking an inspiration and making it unique. Photos did take longer than expected but the quality of her work made it worth the wait.

I’ve worked with Melissa twice. The first time was an amazing experience and I absolutely loved the images she took of my son, so much so that I wanted to work with her again for my youngest and last child’s 1st Birthday/Cake Smash session. The sessions were almost a year apart. The cake smash session in May 2021 went well aside from Melissa being late, which wasn’t an issue for me as I’ve very understanding. Once the session was over I asked Melissa if it was possible to receive a few of the images to use for his birthday party later that week. She agreed, promised a date I would have them by but unfortunately she did not meet that day. Three images were sent the day before the party. I was unable to have them professionally printed in time or use them for the party. Again, this wasn’t an issue for me as I understood my request for a 1-3 day turnaround on a partial gallery was still a large task. Shortly after the party, I reached out to Melissa asking if the rest of the gallery was ready as most photographers deliver your images within 14 business days. My first time working with Melissa my images were ready and delivered via email within a week, which caused me to be surprised I had not heard from her and a few weeks passed since the second session. I first attempted to contact her via email with no response. I waited some time and then tried texting Melissa’s cellphone twice before finally receiving a response. She stated she was as going through a personal family matter and would have my images later that week. The gallery was still never sent. This was now a month after the session. I’ve contacted Melissa several times over the last five months asking for my images and she is no longer responding to my text messages or emails; however, I have noticed she is very much so still active on social media and promotes her business almost daily. I am unsure of what happened to my pictures or why she stopped responding. I’m very disappointed as these images were important to me. They are of my last born. The first birthday/cake smash photos have been a tradition in our family and he will be our only child without those pictures now. Also, he has changed so much in just five months. I really hate I won’t have any professional pictures of him at that age/stage. These photoshoots are important to families as they are memories we will cherish and look at for years to come. I feel as if Melissa has robbed me of that by not delivering the image gallery. I signed a contract and purchased her most expensive package at $995, which included a 1-2 hour photo shoot, two outfits, the backdrop, cake and unlimited full resolution digital copies of all images captured. I’m now in the process of disputing the transaction with PayPal to hopefully at least receive a refund. I’m am not sure if this has happened to other clients or just a special instance but in my case it has been a very unfortunate experience. Melissa and I discussed future projects during the second session but after this experience I will never consider working with her again.

I usually never write google reviews because I didn’t have an account but I personally took the time to create one because this lady is wonderful!!! Very welcoming, attentive and she’s AMAZING at what she does. Highly recommended, I call her the baby whisperer
