DO NOT USE THIS MANS SERVICES IF THATS WHAT ITS CALLED. He is extremely forgetful, he does not follow up and he took an entire year to file my taxes resulting in over $4,400 in penalties even though I called several times a month to ask why he hasn't filed my taxes only to be told "Don't worry about it I have it under control" well he had nothing in control. For your own sake DO NOT USE HIM!!!!

Bernie is a nice guy, but I strongly recommend you do not use him as a tax accountant. He's an older gentleman, so you'd think he'd be well versed in tax rules and laws, but any time I had a question for him that was anything more than a bit basic, he would say he'd have to get back to me in a few days if not a week or two. Also, he gave me tax advice at least a couple times that I later found out for a fact was flat out wrong. Finally, after preparing my return, I had a bunch of questions about it, and he delayed literally for months getting back to me about it, each time saying he was too busy with this or that other more pressing matter, ultimately costing me thousands of dollars because it was too late to correct one of his mistakes by the time he got to it. Honestly, I'm amazed how someone could spend so many years in the tax preparation business and still know so little about taxes. In this day and age, taxes have gotten very complicated and expensive, so you owe it to yourself to make sure your accountant knows what he's doing. I of course no longer use Bernie, and for my next accountant I did a much better job vetting him and his firm before hiring him, so I'm in much better hands now. If you don't know much about taxes, it might be hard to vet an accountant, but at least make sure he's got plenty of 5 star reviews on Google or Yelp.

Bernard Schlossberg is by far one of the nastiest and rudest people I have ever dealt with. I wasn't happy when I had him do my taxes back in 2012 and today I asked him for a copy of the return and he basically asked me "how much do you want to pay for it?" Really!!?? My opinion is that he is very unprofessional. Find another accountant.
