University Chicken Grill

Such love hate with this place. The food is delicious, especially the bourbon chicken chop, which I'd argue is the best. They also offer items other than chops. However, the prices are kind of ridiculous for the amount of food you receive. I've paid $10 for a "large" bowl that has always led to me wanting more. Even with a UM discount, prices are still a bit much. The restaurant itself is quite cramp, but has decent seating and the service isn't exactly the best either. For a quick grab once in a while, this place is great, but you may break the bank if you visit too frequently.

I used to be a regular but I will never return to this place. You get hustled into getting a large, the bald guy automatically gives you a large on any order & you don't know it until you get to the register so you end up paying around $10 for rice & chicken. The store is getting more rundown & dirtier. Your better off going to Pollo Tropical.

This place is horrible. I was staying at the Holiday Inn for a conference and needed a quick place to eat dinner. The man behind the counter made me wait for a while before he even acknowledged my presence (even though no one else was in the restaurant when I first got there). There are no descriptions of the menu items, just pictures. I ordered a Hurricane Chop, but he didn't ask me what size I wanted, so of course he made me a large and charged me $9 for it. Before I knew this, I asked for plantains, which the menu says cost $3, however, I was charged over $5 for it, for a total bill of $14.79 for a chop and some crappy leftover plantains. The sauces look and smell bad, and the chicken is really dry. Avoid--this is a waste of money and time!
