Very easy to use website. A variety of sailboats. Some good deals. I think I need a loan or some partners. South Pacific anyone? You get the boat I’ll show you how to run it.

I bought a boat from Edward Yacht Sales. They showed up to the survey without water on the boat, without a generator, and without the canvas. I couldn’t test the plumbing, electronics inside the cabin, and see the quality of the canvas. The broker told me the canvas was in good to fair condition and that he tested all the electronics. I bought the boat. Canvas company told me the canvas needed to be replaced. $3500 to do that. Day one the boat wouldn’t start. I had to get new batteries. Day 2 the boat kept dying. I had to install a new idle air control valve. When I filled up the boat with water, all 20 gallons ended up in the cabin and bilge. I was told a new water heater was installed and a leak under the stairs was fixed prior to the sale. However, the hot water tank is spraying water like a fountain into the bilge. And the leak under the stairs wasn’t fixed. I have requested from Edward Yacht Sales the company that did the install and repair. I’m not even asking for money. And they won’t even respond. My engine oil completely leaked out and I was stranded at sea. They said this boat was sea worthy and ready but I got a lemon. My mechanic said it was clear that this boat wasn’t maintained at all, even though it had only 300 hours on it. The survey company said a broker should know what to do to ready a boat for a survey. It is now really clear that Edward Yacht Sales knew about the leak and that’s why water wasn’t on the boat and why the broker never tested the plumbing when I raised my concerns. All I want is the repair company info and they literally are ignoring me. I would steer clear. $25,000 and my boat is a wreck. This company only cares about making a sale. It’s mind blowing.

My broker, Kevin Welsh, did a great job walking us through our first boat purchase. He communicated with us long distance and was always quick to respond and made sure we had everything coordinated with the seller, boat yard, and surveyor to be sure the whole process went smoothly. Highly recommend him, along with the Edwards Yacht Sales team (Debra) for crossing "T"s and dotting "I"s!
