The Karol Hotel, St. Petersburg Clearwater, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Karol for a week and we were pleasantly surprised! The staff were incredibly friendly and inviting. The restaurant staff gave us blueberry cheesecake and a soda at no extra cost with our room service. And the short rib bolognese, Karol salad, and blueberry cheesecake were HEAVENLY!!!! Will definitely be coming back

Most airport hotels prioritize utility over opulence, but The Karol offers affordable luxury close to the PIE. The Karol Hotel's amenities were high-end but not out of reach for the average traveler. Local developer Fred Bullard did a fine job with The Karol. The staff were polite and helpful. Check-in was speedy and professional. The accommodations were clean, classy and roomy. The cleaning staff returned my ditty bag to my car before I drove off. Above and beyond. Rooms: Roomy. Clean. Classy. Nice cultured marble shower. Even a Gideon Bible in the nightstand; an increasingly rare comfort on the road in an increasingly secular age. Food & drinks: In-room snacks are top-notch. As was the liquor collection; a mid-size bottle of Buffalo Trace is something I haven't seen in a hotel room before. I snacked but did not imbibe, but I appreciated the selection. Noteworthy details: Clean and pristine; feels new and a level of luxury beyond what the location and price tag would lead you to expect.
