My wife and I have been a patient of Dr. Tim Doerner for 20 plus years. Once he retired approximately a year and a half ago his son Aaron took over his practice. We have been very pleased with the care that we have received from Dr. Aaron and his assistant Mary. The receptionists also have been very receptive to our needs. We recommend Dr. Aaron and his staff.

Charged me an extra $400, 2 months after my last visit. When I called and asked them why, they told me THEY overestimated how much my insurance would cover and told me I would have to take it up with my insurance and there was nothing they could do, even though they were the ones who made the original mistake first. On top of the financial issues, my appointments with the son of Dr Doerner were nothing pleasant. He was extremely rough with my mouth, and seemed like they only cared about the money and not helping a patient with their dental issues. I was *2* minutes late to my cleaning appointment due to an accident on one of the main roads, and when I arrived i apologized extensively and was treated like I just ran over a puppy. They did not numb me enough, and they were extremely rude and short the entire appointment. Will not return after having to fork over $1k in payments within 4 visits, and no remorse about their mistake on their overestimate. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I have been a patient of Dr. Doerners office, going to get my cleanings regularly every 6 months for the past 25 YEARS (!!!) since I was a small child. Ever since Dr. Timothy Doerner left and his son took over the practice things have gone downhill quickly. I had the same dental hygienist for years, who did a great job. When she left, Sonja became my tech, who was also phenomenal at what she does. Sadly Sonja eventually left too and I was assigned to a new dental hygienist who is rough and has no bedside manner. I left both times with my gums in major pain. The front desk staff has all been replaced also with folks who are not very friendly or informative. I think the final straw for me was when I called them about my upcoming appointment. I let them know that due to work I was going to be about 15 minutes late (whats the big deal with that? Its okay to keep patients waiting around in the lobby when they arrive on time, but if the patient is late its a problem). The receptionist informed me that arriving a little late is unacceptable and would need to reschedule my appointment. Okay, no problem (I thought). Due to my work schedule I gave 3 different possible weeks that I was available anytime of day to come in. Not a single spot available any of those days. The next afternoon appointment they have is in June. 7 months from now. So for a faithful patient of 25 years who gave a courtesy call to say Id be a little late to the appointment, I now have to wait 7 months. Seems like in the past few years this office has gone from a small family run facility to a soulless corporation with no consideration for patient care and only focus on logistics and money making. Sad to say I dont think Ill be back. And I dont expect to get much of a reply besides the generic were so sorry to hear about your experience. Please email us with more details response. Sad.

I am posting this review for my husband. He was a patient of the previous Dr. Doerner for many years and loved the previous staff and Sonja, his dental hygienist. After Dr. Doerner retired, my husband continued being seen at the office. The new office staff was not welcoming and told my husband they had no records of him being a patient at the office. His new hygienist was unprofessional with bad bedside manner and misdiagnosed him with having severe periodontal disease in Jan 2023. She recommended a very expensive deep cleaning, which could only be done on one side of the mouth at a time, due to having the mouth numbed. Hes never had a history of dental issues until this first visit under new ownership and this new hygienist. He was required to pay for the whole procedure upfront, even though he would only have one side done that day. Due to the unexpectedness of this diagnosis, he asked to pay in installments, and the office staff was unwilling to accommodate. He was never seen by Dr. Doerner to confirm this diagnosis and recommendation by the hygienist (lesson learned). He spoke to Dr. Doerner the next day via phone to discuss the diagnosis and the Dr. said he did not have periodontal disease and he has nothing to be concerned about. My husband followed through with finishing the deep cleaning on the other side of the mouth since he had paid for it in full. During that appointment, the same hygienist told him he needed his wisdom teeth removed. Shortly after he finished the treatment, he saw a different Dr. for a second opinion. That Dr. confirmed he DID NOT have periodontal disease, nor did he need his wisdom teeth removed. We have since learned, by speaking to other dental hygienists, that these deep cleanings are just a money maker for hygienists specifically. To this day, my husband still receives messages saying he has a remaining balance from the deep cleaning procedure that he paid in full upfront (which has prompted our untimely review). Needless to say, my husband has left the practice, will never return, and loves his new dentist.
