This service is a nightmare, and we are approaching calling the authorities. The owner took our item to be reupholstered and we gave 1/2 the cost in advance ($150) toward the service. It was to take "a couple of weeks". After 2 1/2 weeks we called and left messages. On the fifth call, the owner answered only to say that he would have it ready "next week" which would have been six weeks. The excuse was that the "weather was bad" and he could not work on it…does he work outside? He said he had it "torn apart and would return it "next week" which would have been six weeks. It is now seven weeks, we have left two more messages and those two calls have been returned and we have not seen the furniture or heard from the owner. We do not expect to. We think our furniture piece is forgotten, lost or stolen, or we do not know what to think.We have just given up and will make no further contact. This person is unreliable at best and dishonest at worst.
