Sarasota Architectural Salvage at University Park

In June 2021 they have a sign that says "Mask Required" even though you cannot require people to wear a mask in the state of Florida anymore. I dutifully put my mask in before entering only to find that the ONE employee behind the counter was NOT wearing a mask and neither was the other customer in the store. Seriously?! Mask politics aside - I found it very difficult to find many of the prices for items. Some items are high up on the wall and there is no sign for the cost of each item which means you have to ask "How much?" For each item. Items are overpriced. Because they have a store next to Fresh Market they think that people will just buy the items without even looking at the price tag..

Everything at the salvage is phenomenal, the staff always answers questions to the best of their ability and genuinely care about the items they own. Alongside the items always being in great condition.

Interesting shop very clean and well lit however they have more reproduction items than authentic salvage. Definitely worth a visit if you are decorating at home
