Florida Eye Optical

I went here twice. I got a bill for a co payment of $10. I called how is this possible my co payment is $15 it said I paid only $5. How is that possible.Well I had to pay them.another $5. I specifically remember I gave cash girl went to get change. Handed me $5 back from my $20. They claim not that I paid $5. So I'm a thief?I'll never go back there again. And  the dr I saw wasn't that great. Let's just say young & inexperienced.

I have to give five stars because the doctor here came extremely highly recommended from another top clinic who were unable to do my surgery due to their insurance parameters.  However I was disappointed that the cost of their surgery was approximately $2500 more than other doctors. That could be because they are better at what they do. I am paying out of pocket and so going to find a different doctor, However I really wish that their prices were lower because I thought the doctor seemed very good, great bedside manner, they just were definitely tuned in to me and what I needed and I really liked them...but moving on.

Dr. Barry Schechter performed a cornea transplant in each of my dad's eyes.  My dad is blind in both eyes and can barely get around without assistance, after the surgery, my dad was able to restore some sight and be able to get around the house on his own!  Dr. Schechter, Ginny (assistant to Dr Schechter) and staff at Florida Eye have been amazing!  They have great bedside manner, my dad only speaks Spanish and Dr. Schechter was able to communicate with him and put him at ease during the entire process.  Post surgery, my dad's had no issues and the staff continues to be very helpful and supportive.  Thank you Dr. Schechter, Ginny and staff for making my dad a happy man, the joy you brought him, there are no words!

Excellent medical care !!! Dr Schechter is excellent ! With excellent care from every healthcare provider and support personnel in the office of that medical practice. Thank you for excellent care for so many years !

The staff is not able to correctly inform you that your procedure is not fully covered by your insurance. I'm going elsewhere in the future.
