I hired David to trim the hedges, maintain all of the plants including clean up, adding sod, adding mulch, cleaning out the flower beds and adding a border around the palm trees and other ground plants. He agreed to everything and stated that he would be doing the job with three of his workers and claimed that it would be an all-day project. David did not show up until 10:00am and had only two workers with him, not three. He took an hour for lunch and stressed that it was mandatory that he left no later than 4:45pm. He worked very slowly/lazily which was a reflection on the results. When he was prepared to leave, I noticed that many dead leaves remained on the plants that I specifically stressed that I needed cleaned up. I also noticed that the plant beds were not cleaned out. Additionally, I am confidant that he shorted me on the 80 bags of mulch that he claimed he was going to add (areas looked very scarce) and who knows how much sod he added? When I questioned him about the dead leaves, he replied that they were too hard to pull out. When I asked why he did not just cut them off, he replied that he had to leave. I was scammed out of $1,545. When I contacted the company to ask for a partial refund since I was so disappointed in the poor quality of service, the office clerk agreed to send David back out this morning and would do whatever I wanted him to do. When I did not hear from him, I contacted his office and the same woman answered the phone, was very defensive and rude, using every excuse in the book to avoid fulfilling her promise to have him return to complete the work that I paid for. She was not only rude, she harassed me with emails that included false accusations, threatening with lawsuits if their reputation was ruined. I so regret using this company when there were thousands of other landscapers that were professional, honest and ethical. I repeatedly asked for an itemized receipt for the services rendered as well as a receipt for the materials, however, I was never provided either one. What does that tell you? This is the most dishonest, unethical company I have ever hired. David was the one that I discussed this project with and I had to deal with an unpleasant, hot tempered office clerk because David did not have enough common courtesy to reach out to me to rectify the issue. Obviously, David Morales is not concerned about the reputation of his company, L and M Landscaping / L and M Gardens, in Boynton Beach.
