I unfortunately fell and injured my ankle and was brought to the JFK freestanding emergency room on Woolbright on January 7. Luckily I came in contact with Dr. Harris and a nurse by the name of Bob. They identified my fracture, a trimalleolar ankle fracture, and decided to admit me to the main hospital. My care at the emergency room was excellent. The staff was professional, minded my privacy, and informed me of every step along the way. The X/Ray technician was very pleasant and patient while I had to adjust my leg in order for her to obtain the necessary views. I had to wait for the transport a few hours to bring me to the big hospital, but Bob and Dr. Harris made sure that I was comfortable the entire time and checking in on me, while allowing me time to rest. I appreciate their care, professionalism, and would highly recommend anyone who is in an urgent situation to come to this facility. I too am in the medical profession and always skeptical/nervous when going into an unfamiliar situation. I do not share my background while being cared for. Had to wait while more critical patients were being triaged, and that is to be expected. This is a true Emergency Room; not a first come/first served facility. My eyes observed all of the staff being "on point." Thank you to everyone involved in my care. Linda Yakup-Epstein, RN, BSN, CNOR, CCM

If I could give 0 starts I would. I agree to a comment Ive seen here, this place is a nightmare on Congress ave. Older blond lady at the front desk was extremely rude and didnt seem to care at all about us or the issues my mother had. Before we even started any treatment or evaluation, we decided to go somewhere else to treat her. First and last time here.

Took my daughter around noon on 12/27/23. Nurse at front desk was unfriendly and showed a complete lack of understanding the urgency of visit. After explaining my daughter was having trouble breathing, she handed me a clipboard and told me to have a seat and walked away. A few minutes later I went back to the desk and was ignored until I told them to call an ambulance if they couldnt tend to her. She coldly escorted us to a room and told me my daughter was probably experiencing anxiety making her think she couldnt breathe bc her oxygen level was 99%. Ended up having 103 fever, the flu and respiratory symptoms.

After reading the positive reviews, I decided to go to this ER when a feral cat left deep bites on my thumbs. I was not expecting to have such a pleasant experience as far as ER visits go, but HCA Florida Boynton Beach ER exceeded my expectations. I received prompt and compassionate medical care. Everyone from the nurses, doctor, x-ray tech, and registrar were very kind, professional, and patient when answering my numerous questions. I initially worried that they would think I was overreacting to cat bites, but they didn't. I received tetanus and rabies shots, antibiotics, and detailed instructions on how to follow up with the health department. I also noticed that everything was very clean and modern. I highly recommend this facility if you're having a medical emergency, and I won't hesitate to return if necessary.

Went to the emergency room bc I had a terrible rash all over my body from my face to my feet I was super itchy and didnt know what was wrong with me it was hives and rash all over. The worker Lisa Marie said shes nurse and shes allowed to decide whos more important or more critical I was waiting for a while and she decided to take the guy who walked in after me even though he signed in after me and was perfectly fine. She purposely took him before just bc I said people were standing around instead of doing there job which was true there were plenty of nurses. Her name is Lisa Marie and I wil never be coming back to this emergency hospital ever again. That has never happened to me in my life have been to an ER and they take someone before me unless its an actual emergency which if anything mine was way worse. Her name is Lisa Bruce its now 11:02 pm wnd this happened at 3 am yesterday and I still am having this problem.
