Sunrise of Boynton Beach

I am not surprised to see how many poor reviews there are regarding engagement I hope with this new company taking over the building that they make some serious changes to staffing and activities. There is no thrive in this building when it comes to activities.

I toured this facility with high hopes and while its beautiful and the staff seem so very lovely and welcoming I was not impressed with the activities offered. There are very few poorly planned choices of things to do. My mother and I eventually choose mariposa for my father after being blown away by their activity calendar & events. There are endless options of different things planned daily, weekly and monthly. Sunrise of Boynton beachs calendar was boring and the options did not change from week to week, such a shame for such a beautiful facility.

Do not let your family stay there! Laureen Kelly and Cassidy is unprofessional, these people are rude & mean toward the residents. Keep your love ones away from this place.

April 19- 2023 Update: my dad asked me to remove the review because he didnt want my nana to have trouble so I came here to do that and I see a new review regarding my post and this is my response to the false review from Paty Camposeco- There is no reason to be shocked at the review its all 100% factual statements regarding the activities at sunrise of boynton beach, your review has false content in it, you are ALYSONS mother (I see her picture on your page wishing your daughter a happy 25th birthday on 11-9-2022) trying to save her reputation and I get it BUT my review is 100% actual realities of the people who reside at the facility and its not fair to them to be subjected to boredom because the woman they have in that role is not doing her job or not doing a great job, those seniors deserve a life of fun and entertainment at the price they pay to live in the establishment. Original Review: Activities department is pitiful. Nothing special, it lacks creativity, lacks enthusiasm, lacks special events, no blow out festivities, just simple childish options. Its a disgrace. My nana has to be bored because I was bored for her when I came down for a visit and seen what was going on. No excitement at all, calendar was very vanilla (sorry Allison) she seemed to be more interested in chatting with the receptionist rather than entertaining which apparently nana said is a common thing for her to do. My dad pays thousand of dollars a month so my nana deserves to get her monies worth and not this disgraceful, non productive, lack of creativity things you call fun or exciting

Beautiful community but the lack of effort and engagement with activities is what drove my family to look at another community. They speak so highly of activities, engaging, and stimulating the seniors but if you go to the community there is nothing going on. The activities person Im sure shes a lovely woman but shes very lazy and monotone she has no enthusiasm no spark no personality to do what she is paid to do and its sad because those folks pay alot of money to live there and they are not truly entertained as they should be to keep them active and not wanting to be logs and give up. My loved one visited the community on several occasions to see if another day would be better but it wasnt and the activity events and lack there of is what drove her decision to find somewhere else to enjoy her last few years of life having a blast rather than to be doing nothing except maybe watching a tv program.
