Ive been a Dr Seckler patient for more than 15 years. I like him very much, but the reception staff, especially Lucy is very rude and would not let me have appointment with him. They always push me to have an appointment with somebody else. Very disappointed with their treatment of patients trying to see Dr. Seckler.

The reviews are true. I tried calling for weeks to book an appointment and the "appointments" office would answer just to put me on hold and never get back to me or put my call straight to voicemail. Terrible, terrible, terrible, service. Save your time and call somewhere else.

Rude staff. Doctor is never available for the existing patients. He does not follow up. The receptionist forces you to get time with his assistance. Even thought Dr Seckler is knowledgeable and skilled , it appears he does not care any more about the existing patients.

The doctor is probably competent but I couldn't get past the rude staff. I had an appt, which I cancelled because I ended up in the hospital. At the time I cancelled I was asked to rebook which I did for 1 week later a few hours earlier in the day. When I got to the office, after driving over 1/2 hour for the appointment I was told I didn't have an appointment if they didn't confirm the day before. I said it wasn't my problem if they forgot to confirm. The receptionist was so rude and accused me of making it up. I cursed at her and she literally slammed the glass partition on my hand and told me *I* was rude for cursing.

Giving 2 star review due to an attempt with scheduling an appt with Dr. Seckler who was highly recommended to me by a close friend who happens to be a DO, and my current Cardiologist I have been seeing for several years also recommended Dr. Seckler to me as their office currently no longer in-network with our HI at this time. I reviewed with my HI provider to verify the office & Dr. Seckler are IN-NETWORK. CONFIRMED.. I also searched reviews as well and found the majority of reviews stating Dr. Seckler as a wonderful top-notch Cardiologist, however, reviews regarding the admin staff were not so nice. I've a worked in the medical field for many years. The first contact IMO is the (heart) of an office, so I have a bit of sympathy for them and what they deal with daily. So, I gave the benefit of a doubt on those reviews. Well.... First contact/impression with this office to schedule a New Patient appt I am SHOCKED!! I've worked in various medical offices-professions and positions for many years that also involved working the front office (ADMIN). The only thing I can say at this time with how the initial contact went is beyond one of the most unprofessional experiences I have encountered. Just from my own personal work experience involving scheduling/customer service and knowing that if I had EVER spoken to a patient or potential NEW patient in that manner, I would not have had a job!! I was asked if I had insurance and with what carrier; I gave the information and it was followed with another question of what type (Open Access, HMO, etc.) Honestly, I was not sure exactly the type at the time of call and only that the office/doctor was confirmed as being In-Network. The lady then advised me that it's my responsibility to verify network status not hers and she did not want to do all the work if the office is not in network. I will say that part of what she said I do agree with it being the patients responsibility to review with their HI provider for accuracy and that the offices and/or facility will check and verify as a courtesy. However, I did my patient due diligence and verified the office and Dr. Seckler are listed with my insurance carrier as being In-Network At this time, she tells me its not her job to verify with my health insurance carrier to see network status and without her having 100% confirmation she would not proceed any further with scheduling, stating even though my HI Carrier said In-Network they may not be accurate. So, again, I'm now explaining to her that I had already verified network status prior to me calling and that I can provide my HI information to her over the phone to double check and reconfirm. I'm now told that she did not want to go through the process of taking all the information and it come back listed not In-Network. I'm now told that I can drive to the office and physically provide my HI card to them for review and verification status. I'm completely MIND BLOWN at this point and the fact that she did not want to do her job and I would now have to take time from MY OWN JOB to drive to the office and physically hand my INS card for review to verify network status when I am more than capable and can easily provide VIA phone to her the information listed on my HIC for verification purposes & she can call me back once she received the 100% verification she needed to proceed with scheduling. After hanging up, I contacted my HIC and advised them of the call /experience I just encountered with this office. Thankfully, my HIC is physical mailing a letter to me showing the office and Dr. status listed with them being In-Network as I was previously provided prior to calling the office to schedule. Typically, I would not even attempt or bother to go any further on scheduling however, due to Dr. Seckler coming so HIGHLY recommended to me by a close friend who happens to be a DO, along with my current Cardiologist recommending Dr. Seckler, I will make a one last attempt to schedule. Will provided update after my second attempt.
