Check how much they charge before they send their technician to your property and surprised on how much pricy they are. They sent technician to my house to inspect the reason of rattling pipes who spend half of his time on phone and talking to someone to check his work or so, and other half of his time awaiting his coworker to hand him pressure gage. Are you guys serious? A plumber without pressure gage waiting for more than 20 minutes customer had to get charge for it? Regardless of what we have paid for late payment, their price for inspection was away from being reasonable. Never again. I would go over reviews with one star and see what people says about this company.

*Preface that we did not book any service with this company, so this is a review on "customer service" only* Our water heater went out the evening of 3/18. We called Kempton & Self at 7:45am the morning of 3/19 . They would not provide us with a quote over the phone when asked and said that a technician would be out for an in person estimate sometime in the afternoon. Charles was the tech who showed up. He took less than 3 minutes to look at our water heater. My husband also asked about snaking our laundry drain. Charles told my husband that we would hear back from the company in 1-2 days with an estimate. No one wants to wait days, even just for an estimate, when they don't have hot water. It's a pretty emergent situation. Waiting all morning for an estimate that couldn't be given at time of service, or even given a timeline on when service could be performed was incredibly frustrating and a waste of time on all accounts. Especially since I could've booked another company to do the replace/install same day. I gave this company the opportunity to earn our business, and they failed spectacularly. Charles called my husband 24 hours later to inform of us an emailed estimate. Which was $500 over what the company we booked with ended up charging. I understand that quote probably included snaking our laundry drain, but the quote did not detail line items as to what the water heater replacement/install would cost versus snaking the drain. Again, can't speak to the quality of service/products, but based on customer service alone, they get a 1*.
