My boyfriend and I discovered Apalachiacola on a coastal gulf drive as we were heading to Tampa for a football Bowl game. There are many things to love about Apalachiacola and we spent a wonderful day there enjoying the beautiful weather and key west vibe. We discovered Richards gallery while we were exploring the streets of this charming town. I wandered into it and was instantly captivated by the incredible photographs hanging on the walls of this shop. How could this quaint little gallery in this tiny, weathered fishing village have such provoking and obviously professional art?? I left with two of Richards framed photos and I have them in a prominent place in my home. I look at them often and as they become more familiar, they become more personal and loved. Richard himself is also a wonderful combination of worldly elegance and humble authenticity. I look forward to my next trip to Apalachiacola (we are definitely going back) and this time we wont be rude enough to visit Richard in his gallery without bringing an extra beer from the wonderful Oyster City Brewing Company.
