I am thankful because I listened to my gut feelings after carefully interviewed multiple accounting firms for my healthcare business. Mr. Shah stood out not only because of how well he conveyed how his firm could help my business grow, but his personable interaction with me serves as a testament to what his company stands for. I was looking for a company that understands my struggles as a healthcare CEO.  Medical school and PA school do not teach the business of medicine; thus, I knew at some point, I would have to add to my team a great accounting firm if I wanted to continue to grow my healthcare business.  Thus far, my interactions with Mr. Shaw have been more than expected. He is patient and understanding. He is personable and tries his best to understand my concerns as a first-time business owner and has been excellent at teaching and guiding me through the process of becoming an efficient CEO. Disappointing experience. The intro session on Thursday was literally 30 minutes of someone reading off poorly designed questions about my business. I believe he repeated the same question. In a different form 3 times.
This was followed by 10 to 15 of small talk. We agreed on a follow up meeting on Tuesday at 8 am. 30 minutes before the meeting, he canceled due to people being on holiday .
Really poor communication skills, I had cleared my schedule to accommodate the time he had agreed to several days in advance. He offered to reschedule but I declined. Im not confident the service would be up to par after our interactions.
