The Wagyu steak was ridiculously good. I tried the filet too and that was great as well. Great atmosphere, service, etc. Whatever. Top notch steak. Period.

Very well designed place with perfect location! Had a delicious piece of fish the night I was here. While my guests' steak was great, I loved the salmon served on plank.

Flat out amazing. First the staff; attentive, cordial and welcoming. They attended to us with superb caring and professional service, from the coat check to the waiter they were wonderful. The manager greeted us at the door and our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful, suggesting menu selections and offering insight. The food; wow. That may have been the most amazing and impressive steak I've had. The filet mignon and Snake River strip, both were cooked as perfectly as a steak can be. The beef melted into prefect seasoning and a buttery finish. The cows would have been proud to become a steak this good. Served simply with two grilled jalapeno peppers, mild yet flavorful. It was a beautiful plating. The truffle mac and cheese was creamy with a crunchy topping, delicious and prefect in its own right if it wasn't overshadowed by the Portobello mushroom fries, these were ridiculous amazing with the garlic aioli. Wow. Mussels in a garlic and shallot broth was served with good crusty bread and butter was a prefect way to start the meal with a champagne cocktail. The dessert was a pear topped cheesecake with a gingerbread ice cream, delicious and simple. A plate of homemade cookies with fruit with champagne was a compliment from the chef as we were celebrating our special day, having been proposed to earlier by my awesome girlfriend and love of my life. Simply put, the meal was one of the finest in a restaurant I've had. The atmosphere; quaint and big at the same time, inside the Hotel Washington it was a little odd to find but the doorman told us exactly where to go. Super high ceilings and classic and modern decor was blended perfectly into soft, dimmer lighting lending into a prefect romantic setting and soft music in the background. Conclusion. Go here, a must stop for your one lavish meal on the trip, it was spendy and completely worth it. Five golden forks for this joint!!! Thank you!
