Underwhelming across the board.

I'm still very conflicted as I write this review. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. My biggest issue is that their posted hours mean nothing. I have tried and tried to get food from del Barrio so many times when they advertise they are open (their own website, Google Maps, Toast Takeout app), only to find they are closed. Most recently, about a month ago we had some guests over and planned to order our dinner from Taqueria del Barrio. We successfully placed a nearly $150 order on the web/Toast app, only to head to the restaurant about 20 minutes later to find them closed. To boot, my credit card was charged. I get that restaurant hours and staffing have fluctuated a LOT over the last 2 years - but do your customers a favor and post an update, suggest that customers always call to check hours, and if you're closed, please disable your online/mobile ordering. Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened to me with Taqueria del Barrio, so shame on me. Next time, I'll call before I order. But i fear it will just be easier to go elsewhere.

I made an order through Caviar, walked in 30 degree weather to pick it up and the restaurant was closed. Please update your hours and work with Caviar to make sure this doesn't happen for other customers.
