Bad service, bad food quality. Probably the worst middle food I have ever had.

Terrible service, the efforts are difficult to come to about an y customer concerns, even when the concern is helpful. I.e. coming to the waiter about a tip. Also highly priced hookah! Ps- not a single Palestinian flag, Deloitte having every other middle eastern country's flag

If you often work remotely like many people in DC do and you can chalk up the Seinfeld Soup Nazi style service as "part of the experience", then this is a good place to work from during the day. Unlike the evening hours, daytime is not a packed house. You will be in the company of diplomats (there are 3 embassies a block away), few other remote workers and some Georgetown University students. The wifi works great and there are a few outlets to plug your devices into. I usually get the beef kabobs with rice and I found it to be of better quality than Moby Dick's. The hookah is well priced compared to other places in DC ($12.99 for Al Fakher and $16.99 for Starbuzz) and is one of the better smoking experiences I've had in this town. There is also a student discount if you present your university ID. Negatives: 1) They charge you $3 for a bottle of water and there are no other water options 2) Be warned that the service or lack thereof can be off putting if not frustrating. 3) There is an automatic 18% gratuity added to your bill regardless of party size. I don't think this practice is actually in line with the latest IRS ruling (see below) but they still have not changed this policy. In short, you come here to get your food, hookah and not be bothered and just live with the generally bad service in exchange. -------------------------------------------IRS Ruling Below ------------------------------------- As of Jan. 1, the IRS has reclassified an automatic tip as part of the server’s wages. Under the IRS ruling, Rev. Ruling 2012-18, a sharper distinction is drawn between tips and service charges. Under the new rules, to be a tip: The payment must be made free from compulsion The customer must have the unrestricted right to determine the amount The payment should not be the subject of negotiation or dictated by employer policy Generally, the customer has the right to determine who receives the payment
