The River Inn

Stayed at The River Inn with the family over spring break. Foggy Bottom is a great location for all things to do in DC. The neighborhood and s cute and safe for walking. Metro is very close to access the touristy activities in DC. Each unit has a full size fridge and kitchenette which is helpful to save money. Big bonus is there is a Trader Joe's within walking distance for groceries. This is super helpful since ethe restaurant in the hotel is a bit pricey, although I did enjoy.my salad. The staff is friendly and helpful accommodating all requests in a reasonable amount of time. Our room was a studio with queen bed and pull out sofa. Standard room fare. Kitchenette served us well but is a little dated. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Good hotel, spacious rooms, with kitchen, without common spaces or amenities. A dining bar downstairs with a limited menu, but good. The location is very good, two blocks from the subway, or bus stops...both to go to the National Mall area and to go to Georgetown.

I didnt stay at this hotel. Heres the story. I had a reservation to stay here with my family for a week. We always look for places with full kitchens as we cook 1 or 2 meals daily. It is a very old and tired hotel with acceptable common areas and decent rooms. The awful part is the rooms kitchen. I dont know how someone would do ANYTHING in there. See pictures. We decided to move to a different hotel and was the best decision. I want to give many thanks to Jack in the front desk who was extremely helpful and accommodating. The rest of the staff was nice too. The staff is the main reason why Im leaving a 3 stars review.
