        Aircraft noise over the Courthouse/Rosslyn areas of Arlington, VA has been disturbing lately!!! Quite often aircraft ascends after taking off from DCA ~ every 2 minutes flying over the Courthouse/Rosslyn residential areas of Arlington, VA generating horrendous noise!!! I'd like to point out that descending aircraft does not generate significant noise, but ascending aircraft does! FAA had been urged multiple times to Implement the latest GAO Aircraft Noise Recommendations such as to maximize the time aircraft spend flying directly over the Potomac River and minimize the time aircraft spend flying over land in communities north of the airport, especially residential neighborhoods, to mitigate the impact of aircraft noise. Having said that, when can we expect FAA to comply???

        Yeah, they can be annoying with thier rules and pestering, but we still gotta love em'! They are insanely smart and a LOT of the work they do is I kind numbing and boring, but still needs to get done. So FAA, you get 5 stars from at least one guy!!
