This school needs SHUT DOWN BY DCPS ASAP! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE FOR HELP, IT WILL HARM THEM! How in the world does DCPS and Bowser keep a school open with these issues??????? Unfortunately, the opportunity to TRULY make a difference is hindered by terrible leadership, horrible ethics, a lack of acceptance of improvement suggestions from ACTUAL parents and role models with experience in the field and culture of "worship the CEO or leave." This company takes "at will" employment and creates their own definitions. They actual hurt the community more than help. Absolutely Terrible!! Stay away!! POOR POOR leadership, mediocre teachers, very bad living conditions. The focus is on outward appearance opposed to actual quality of living and education. If you truly care about your scholar, do not enroll them at Monument Academy.

I had the pleasure to visit Monument Academy and it was an eye opener. Im an old school child, so seeing the interactions between student and teacher and not cellphone and screen is such a breath of fresh air. The way the children interacted with Mr. Marshall, Mr. Rucker, and Mr. T, was so delightful to watch. Those gentlemen understand the meaning of being a teacher, and not a dictator. Those kids show respect towards these teachers and that says a lot about the interaction between staff and student and professionalism of the board in choosing its staff. Well done Monument Academy, well done!

Many people think this school is for people that need help but is not every school is to learn and this is one of the great school to go learn
