I was visiting DC from out of town, I called randomly and was able to get an appt with Dominique. The experience was wonderful and I left feeling like family. Katie gave my scalp a great scrub and massage. Dominque slayed my curls and sent me away with pins to maintain my style. All of the ladies were truly so kind and personable. Ill definitely be back.

Jasmine's Hair Gallery is the hidden hair gem in Anacostia and my new hair home. The atmosphere is welcoming, the people are talented and attentive and the prices are affordable. I've brought my niece here twice and I received services for the first time this week. Walking into the salon, a flight of stairs greet you. They are narrow but once you get up them, you are greeted by friendly faces. You will be asked to wash your hands first and have a seat. The wait can vary. I waited for about 15 minutes and then my stylist, Jo, began to wash my hair. She was very detailed and knowledgeable about my hair. She also informed me that they did every style I could think of at the salon. Once my hair was washed, I received a hot oil treatment. Once the treatment was completed, my hair was soft and felt super healthy. Jo moisturized my hair and braided it. My hair was done in under two hours and as a black woman who has been in MANY salons on a regular basis, that is a short amount of time. Jo also did my niece's hair as well and it took an hour and a half. The first time my niece was serviced here, she was served my Rochelle and her hair came out nicely and she was out in 90 minutes as well. Go see Jo and Rochelle!

Bad experience recently with Dominique.  I will not return.  She typically is late and as a result takes shortcuts on your hair.  I have gone to her approximately 7x and I can honestly say nothing she does stands out as a "licensed" professional stylist, colorist - NOTHING.  Do not sit in her chair if you want your hair styled or cut with precision.  There are two other ladies there that I highly recommend.  You have been warned.
