This contractor was hired around the beginning of September 2020 to do a basement remodel. After being paid a 50% down payment, the contractor initially showed up on time to start the remodel and began the work without any permits after being initially told to acquire all necessary permits to complete the project legally. After being confronted about the missing permits the contractor attempted to acquire them but kept coming up with excuses as to why he couldn't acquire them. Also, while the project was ongoing, some of the contractor's hired workers came up to me personally informing me that the contractor wasn't paying them their portion of the work done. There have been a number of allegations by different workers brought to my attention regarding the same matter. This contractor has displayed some dishonest and unprofessional behavior by attempting to cut corners and perform illegal work and allegedly rob his workers of their pay. I would recommended for people to stay away from this business altogether. Service: Remodelling
