Dr Doran and all support nursing staff for this knee surgery were just some of the best professional competent people you can find. When you are in the company of competence and confidence your questions just vanish and you are left with the wow factor. Pre- surgery , surgery itself and post surgery which includes the night staff on fifth floor were just exceptionally dedicated staff Nurse Renee, Charge nurse Katie, and the others sorry forgot names. Tech Staff Danny too. Dr. Duran briefed me about the surgery in the waiting room and his communication about the surgery was just so detailed, precise and professional. Nurses were just awesome and so informative and just angels from heaven . The hospital staff at this place go above and beyond to keep the place clean, keep you informed about the procedure in detail. We thought Virtua in NJ were good but oh boy these guys just raised the bar . Night shift nurse on June 17 Room 5001 was just competency at its best ! These guys could teach other hospitals a lot . Just read the posters on the wall on the fifth floor and you get an idea of the Customer Focused culture . Thank you nurses at this hospital and may god bless you and your families for what you are doing is just beyond the call of duty . I was not scared but relieved to leave my wife in such professional company . You can see a lot of research has gone into their surgical process with the drugs they use , the support during and after discharge. Marybeth was already thinking about giving my wife medication just in case her pain level went up at the weekend which is precisely what happen in NJ and we ended up calling a doctor on call . Don’t hesitate if you are scheduled at this hospital . Just do it ! When people feel good they can give good care and when they do it’ stays with you forever.

I suffered for 16 years while waiting to be "old enough" for a full knee replacement that would last the rest of my lifetime. I picked Dr. Doran based on other reviews and word of mouth in our community. I was amazed at the quality of service his office staff provided me, but even more amazed at the personal attention Dr. Doran gave me at my first visit. Without being cocky, Dr. Doran filled me with complete trust towards him with his confidence and total understanding of the pain I had endured for so long. He gave me a complete step by step of the entire procedure and plan he had for me. I was not surprised one single time. He made sure to repeat the important parts during the visits leading to my surgery. Even the morning of my total knee replacement surgery, he arrived in such a relaxed and yet professional way, that not once did I dread or get nervous. The best part ? His skill during the surgery itself. I came out with zero pain. I was walking with a walker to the bathroom within a few hours of surgery. The first week I moved around easily with a walker. The second week I moved around easily with a cane. The third week I moved around easily unassisted and with full weight bearing upon the knee replacement. Zero surgery pain, but a little muscle and hamstring pain as I did my stretches in therapy, which is normal. Zero bruising. Very little swelling which went away suddenly overnight at the end of week two. Unbelievably, at the end of week 3, Dr. Doran discharged me from his immediate care because I'm able to walk normally and flex and bend this knee to degrees usually seen of knee replacement patients at the end of a couple months. Of course everyone's body is going to heal and react to this type of surgery differently, and I did a lot of stretching and preparing ahead of the surgery as suggested. But, now after only 3 weeks even my scar is disappearing due to the awesome inside the body stitching procedure Dr. Doran uses, that I can not help but feel that his style and confident knowledge of his craft is playing a huge part in my recovery. I highly recommend him for any orthopedic surgery, especially knee replacements. I prefer to keep my opinions off the internet as a normal, but it would be an injustice to an awesome surgeon and important person to the Seaford community if I did not put this information on the internet this time. I can not say any thing more to show the respect I have Dr. Doran and I invite anyone to personally ask me for advice if you are facing a similar situation. Thanks to Dr. Doran and his entire staff and team.
