MEADOWWOOD BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEM

Very unprofessional. My family member was admitted to this facility for 2weeks and had the worst experience. The staff treated her terrible and her clothes were stolen by other patients. The staff was aware of this but brushed it off like it was nothing. When she was released she came home with someone else clothes and hair brush. Very unsanitary. She said that some of the staff should be patients instead of employees. Shameful to go into this place for help and come out even worst then before entering.

If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter was supposed to start outpatient therapy on a Wednesday. We signed up for transportation. No phone call from the driver like we were told, no transportation arrives. I spent the entire day calling, leaving voice mails, etc. Absolutely nobody cared. I spent the entire day Thursday trying to talk to someone. Finally, I speak to someone in admissions who was rude, didn't care, and said she would call back. No call at all. I'm trying to get help for my daughter and this is how they are. Probably dodged a bullet.

Absolutely awful. I went in for detox, stayed in the geriatric unit. I'm 24. Cleaning staff was not quite doing their job to the fullest. The railings in the showers were black like they hadn't been cleaned in months. Staff was demeaning to patients more times than I can count. There were a few positives. There were a few nurses who genuinely are good at their job and with compassion along with my social worker assigned to me. The gentleman was delightful. Overall however.. I would not go back and most certainly would never send a loved one there.

children will not admit to having suicidal thoughts, either to therapist/psychiatrist/police/family due to the outstanding threat of being sent here. this is literally the “jail,” the “punishment” for children who admit they are suicidal/depressed. the threat and danger of this facility is actively and negatively impacting the mental health treatment of children in delaware.

I spent a little over a week here, for mental health issues. The treatment I received was wonderful the staff was extremely helpful, the doctor that I spoke with was very caring and listening. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is having mental health issues.
