We've had to use Chesapeake for fixes covered by our home warranty. Their communication is so bad that I would never use them for repair work if I had the choice. The first time we needed them, the office gave us a time window of 8am to noon. At 12:15, no one had called or come by, so I called to see what was happening. They responded that they would be in touch with the person on call and get back to me. The office never did call back, but a plumber did finally show up at 2:45 that afternoon. Today we had another service call scheduled for a different issue. This time we had the noon- 4pm window. What a surprise that it's now after 4pm and nobody has come, nobody has called, and theyre closed for the day. So now we're assuming that we will have to take another day off of work to be waiting around for someone to maybe, hopefully, come by as scheduled. I would expect that if they aren't going to make their timeframe for whatever reason, they could at least call instead of continuing to waste our time. UPDATE: Was in touch with Ryan who had someone come out in the evening and replace a valve to fix the leak under our sink. So happy to have the problem resolved!

The ladies were nice and helpful, but a little on the pricier side for a simple task which I was not expecting. It cost over $200 just to have risers replaced under an hvac unit. I did not find that out until afterwards. They had to come back a second time and place them better underneath the unit..my unit started vibrating after that, and was told by another hvac company my compressor needs replaced...no telling if it was from this or not..

Engaged them to maintain my heat pump, tankless water heater and a mini-split hvac all in the new built house we moved into 9 months ago. The mini-split had been OFF for the winter, tech left it on after cleaning the filter. That night the smoke alarms went off at 1:30 and 3:20 AM. I left a voicemail for the tech, didnt hear back. About noon, the alarms sounded again. I explained to Chesapeake customer service and the tech finally called. He said nothing he did would cause smoke alarms. The manager agreed that it must be a coincidence, there was nothing they would do. I asked for refund and Im no longer a customer. Service: Heating system maintenance

Contacted Chesapeake Home Services last week about having my dryer vent cleaned, and was pleasantly surprised to be scheduled the following morning. Robert arrived on time, was very professional and installed a new exterior vent in addition to cleaning. Chesapeake's price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend this business. Service: HVAC duct & vent cleaning
